Energy & Sustainability

能源及可持续发展

Amid the increased demand for sustainable growth, China has adjusted the structure of energy production, promoting the development of clean energy. In recent years, China's share of green energy production has skyrocketed; with major development in wind, hydroelectric, and solar power projects, the nation is becoming a world leader in renewable energy. However, renewable energy development relies heavily on technological infrastructure and energy storage capacity. Compared to fossil fuel-based energy, renewable energy continues to carry higher costs, which is an eminent question that needs to be addressed. This begs the question: what challenges will China face in the journey toward green energy. What opportunities will the goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2060 present for businesses and investors?
